Purple Tuesday is a global social movement and the #1 brand for improving the customer experience for disabled people and their families 365 days a year.
The initiative inspires leadership and staff of organisations from all sectors and sizes to foster awareness, deepen understanding, and implement solutions for enhanced accessibility in their customer environments. Participating organisations are dedicated to making public commitments each year to improve accessibility and practices, ensuring that disabled customers have a more inclusive and positive experience. These commitments involve initiating at least one new activity or initiative

The Purple Tuesday movement takes center stage each year in November. It serves as a celebratory day, promoting accessibility and inclusivity. In 2023, this impactful event reached an astounding 29.5 million people, garnered over 6500 participating organisations and 7000 commitments to improve. The movement received substantial media coverage with over 3475 items across broadcast and print media. Purple Tuesday formed partnerships with 30 sponsors who actively contribute to the cause. Additionally, boasted a vibrant social media presence, with over 40,000 interactions and engagement on the day. The movement has also appointed 50 disabled customer ambassadors, further amplifying our reach and influence with a social community of more than 120,000 followers .

What made Purple Tuesday even more remarkable is its global impact. The movement is celebrated in Seven countries including UK, USA, UAE, Malaysia, Germany, Hong Kong and Pakistan , transcending boundaries and uniting people worldwide in the pursuit of accessibility and inclusion.

The spending power of disabled people and their household worldwide is currently estimated to be worth $13 trillion, increasing by 14% per annum. Only 10% of businesses have a targeted strategy for this huge market.

There are 1.3 billion disabled people in the world that represent 17% of the population.

75% of disabled people and their families have walked away from a business because of poor accessibility or customer service.

8% of disabled people are wheelchair users, and 80% of disabled people have hidden impairments.
